If you get this error message when trying to run FFmpeg, do the following:

Using your favorite Linux text editor such as pico or vi:

  • vi /etc/ld.so.conf

Make sure this directive is there; if not add it:
 

/usr/local/lib

Then run the following command:
 

  • /sbin/ldconfig
