HowTo :: get exim to send email from a particular IP address

If you wish to get Exim to use, let's say, a different IP address than the main IP to send email out, follow these steps. Using your favorite Linux editor such as pico or vi, eidt: /etc/exim.conf file

Find the directives:

remote_smtp: driver = smtp

Change to:

remote_smtp: driver = smtp interface = NEW_IP_ADDRESS

Then restart Exim:

/usr/service exim restart
